About
the Photograph
The photograph above is probably one of the
most famous in the 20th century. Titled "Lunch atop a
Skycraper", it was taken by Charles Clyde Ebbets in 1932.
He had been apointed photographic director for the Rockefeller
Center which was under construction in New York. We include
it on our website to honor iron and steel workers across America.
